About us

Ark furniture was conceived by Steven Booker with a little help from his wife Verity and their young son, Noah (hence the name!). All furniture is designed and hand made by Steven in a workshop near Moreton in Marsh.

Steven has 20 years experience as a furniture maker. He completed his apprenticeship at Gordon Russell (based at Broadway in the Cotswolds) then worked for a variety of local furniture making companies before setting up his own business nearly five years ago as Steven Booker Cabinet Maker.

Steven has gained a wealth of experience in all areas, including: making fine quality freestanding furniture for residential / corporate interiors in London and the Cotswolds; designing, making and fitting high-quality handmade kitchens and fitted furniture; installing fitted furniture in locations such as New York, Moscow and Marbella and, most recently, designing the ‘ark’ collection in response to a number of commissions for this style of furniture.
